This loco was built in 3/1953 with EMD serial number 17651. She was built as a yard switcher, model SW9.
She became SOU 1142.
She was repainted into a special paint scheme as the River Street Rambler, the first of three locomotives to serve in this capacity in Savannah, GA and renumbered to SOU 1733 in honor of the year of the founding of Savannah, GA.
At some point afterwards, she was renumbered to SOU 1142 still in River Street Rambler paint.
She served this capacity until June 1983 when she was replaced by SW1500 SOU 2311.
It is not known if she was repainted back to standard Southern colors and renumbered back to SOU 1142 at this point or retired.
