	C&EI 39750-39999							

These 38'-0", 40 ton box cars were built by National Dump Car Co. in 1905. They featured 6' doors and 2516 ft3 capacity. Many if not all appear to have been originally built as drop bottom box cars, but the remaining 175 cars in the series are all listed as XM box cars in the Dec. 1930 ORER. They are not present in the Jan. 1938 ORER.
