These 40'-6", 40 ton box cars were built by Mt. Vernon Car Co. (Lot 7124) in 12/1928. They featured a 12' staggered door opening and 3645 ft3 capacity.

A little over 100 of these cars appear to have been rebuilt and/or renumbered as above.
