This loco was built in 11/1979 with EMD serial number 786223-7 as a freight roadswitcher, model SD40-2. She was equipped with Locotrol remote control technology as a Remote unit to work with a matching Master unit. She featured a lengthened "snoot" nose to accomodate the Locotrol equipment.

She became BNSF 6805.
