This loco was built in 1/1947 with ALCO serial number 75143 as one of three demonstrator units. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model RS2.
She became CI&L 28.
She became CI&L 58.
She became MON 58.
She was acquired with the Monon in 8/1971 and assigned L&N 267:2, but it was aparently never applied. It is doubtful if she ever worked in revenue service for the L&N.
She was retired on 08/23/1972, sent to GE at some point thereafter and presumed scrapped.
