This loco was built in 1/1947 with ALCO serial number 74992 as one of three demonstrator units. She was built as a freight roadswitcher, model RS2.
She became CI&L 29.
She became CI&L 59.
She became MON 59.
She was acquired with the Monon in 8/1971 and assigned L&N 268:2, but it was aparently never applied. It is doubtful if she ever worked in revenue service for the L&N.
She was retired on 10/30/1971.
She was rebuilt into slug L&N 2065 by RSCo. in 8/1972.
She was retired as a slug on 10/11/1977 and scrapped.
