Welcome to the PraxAir Inc. Freight Cars Page. PraxAir operated a fleet of tank cars to transport industrial gasses such as argon as well as some traditional tank cars. While the company began as a part of Union Carbide, the air products line Union Carbide Industrial Gases, Inc. in 1992 and was spun off and renamed PraxAir in 1995. In 2017 PraxAir was merged with Linde.
