EMD SW1000:
This page is dedicated to EMD's model SW1000. EMD built numerous examples of this popular model for numerous railroads and industries.
This was the 1000 hp version of the SW1500. It can be distinguished by one stack on the long hood vs. two on the 1500 hp SW1500.
The SW1001 is a very different model built for mainly clearance reasons. It is covered seperately.
