LDRR 1850

LDRR 1850
Louisiana & Delta locomotive 1850 is a chop-nosed GP10, originally built as GP9 IC 9135 in Jan 1956 with frame number 5409-18. It was rebuilt by the ICG at their Paducah, KY shops with a new low nose as ICG 8110 in Dec 1974. It was sold to Mountain Laurel Railroad as their MNL 12 in Feb 1992. It came to L&D in Jan 1997 and was assigned number LDRR 1850. It ran for a short time with no changes and was the first of the ML units repainted into L&D's corporate colors as LDRR 1850. At one time, it carried the name "Evangeline" on her cab, but this was removed ca. 2006.
