LDRR 1710
Louisiana & Delta locomotive 1710 is a rebuilt, chop-nosed GP8, originally built as GP9 IC 9237 in 1957 with frame number 5480-30 and serial number 22302. It was rebuilt as GP8 ICG 7704 in 1974. It was sold to the Greenville & Northern Railroad as GRN 704 in 19xx. From there it went to the Carolina Piedmont as CPDR 70. Then to the Georgia Soutwestern (a sister G&W road) as GSWR 70. It came to L&D in late 2013 and was assigned number LDRR 1710. It has been dubbed the "Lucky 7" due to the presence of a "7" in her road number in every configuration she has gone through.
