Louisiana & Delta locomotive 1511 is a former ATSF CF7, originally built as ATSF F9A 284C in Jun 1956. It was rebuilt by Santa Fe as CF7 2504 in Aug 1974. It was subsequently sold to MidSouth Railroad as their engine 7007 in Jan 1988. It came to L&D in Feb 1994 and was assigned number LDRR 1511, however, it ran as LDRR 7007 for a short time and was relettered Genesee & Wyoming Switching Service (GWSS) 1511 and sent off to work the plastics store in transit (SIT) yard at Dayton, TX. It returned to L&D in Mar 1998. It was probably letterd LDRR 1511 shortly after that. It was retired in 2000.
