Louisiana & Delta locomotive 1500 is a former ATSF CF7, originally built as ATSF F3A 19L Nov. 1946. It was rebuilt by Santa Fe to as CF7 2622 in Feb. 1972. It was subsequently sold to xxxx. It came to L&D in later 1987 and was assigned number LDRR 1501. It wore the name "City of New Iberia." When Athearn released a CF7 model, they offered it decorated as this locomotive, even including the name.
