Zacater

This was once the location of a short runaround track and the industry spur serving Avondale Shipyards. The yard was shut down and J. Ray McDermott move into the yard. When I started working for them in 1992, the spur was no longer used and within a year or so, the grade crossing for what was then US 90 was removed leaving the portion within the yard isolated. The crossing was featured in the movie Easy Rider as a scene showing Billy and Capt. America riding their motorcycles across it.

Signal

This signal is a typical SP style signal and is located just west of the LA hwy 662 crossing. It has both the east and west facing signals on one mast.
