M.P. 32-33
This mile contains the Des Allemands draw bridge. The bridge is easily seen from the US Hwy 90 high bridge across Bayou Des Allemands, but be careful if you look for too long as the bridge is narrow and contains reversing curves. With the exception of the area directly around the draw bridge itself, this mile is largely inaccessible.

This signal is located just east of the Des Allemands draw bridge. It is part of a pair of signals located at either side of the bridge to provide interlocking protection for trains when the bridge is opened for marine traffic. |
