The JJGotrox Band Page

JJGotrox members Jay Frisco, Jay Riedl and Lee Gautreaux performing the OFFICAL JJG salute.

From the campus of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now known as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette) the genesis of what was to become the musical phenomenon known as JJGotrox has its roots. The power trio of Jay Frisco (drums, guitar) Jay Riedl (bass, vocals) and Lee A. Gautreaux (guitar, vocals) managed to find each other and managed to get a little education in the process. They came from a variety of musical backgrounds finding the resultant musical "gumbo" to be a tasty dish.

After a long dormant period yielding to careers and families, founding member Lee A. Gautreaux has decided to record an album under the JJGotrox name. Riedl and Frisco will be regrouping with Gautreaux to record one song Jump the Dummy. This will probably be the only track with all three original members playing, but it is very important to all of us to record together. The songs currently recorded feature Lee on guitar and vocals backed up by Ross Hebert of Christian Rock band Crave on drums, bass, guitar and organ. They were recorded by engineer/producer Simon Hebert at Infinite Studios in Houma, LA.

A live performing version of JJGotrox is in the planning stages. We still need to iron out some rinkles and get our feet wet, but we are very excited about the prospect of playing live and bringing the fun to you. That's about all I can say at this point, so, stay tuned and GET READY TO ROCK!

To JJGotrox fans: YOU ROCK!!!!!!
