DB16:

The DB16 was what I always considered a "traditional" derrick barge. She featured an 860 ton American model 509 gantry mounted on the stern, a clear open work deck, bow mounted above-deck offices and heliport and below deck living quarters. In later years, she was outfitted with a retractable dynamic positioning system salvaged from the former Brown & Root barge "Atlas." Along with her sister barge the DB12, she worked on the groundbreaking Cognac platform for Shell.
